Humanity stands at crossroads at this crucial period in world history and each individual has the ability to choose which path he or she will follow—the divine or the demonic. This polarization will increase as the emergency on the planet continues to escalate in the coming years. In Spiritual Warrior III: Solace for the Heart in Difficult Times, we look at the pitfalls of modern society, the illusions it presents, and the deliberate attempt to repress spirituality of all types. Most importantly, since the planet is in this state of turmoil, we want to offer spiritual warriors sufficient strength and knowledge to help in the process of re-spiritualizing society in the coming years.

I begin by examining the nature of these crossroads because we cannot make an intelligent choice until we understand our options. Our technologized society has dulled our awareness of the higher realities, causing us to think that the ultimate goal of life revolves around the gratification of our senses. However, as we get dragged deeper and deeper into this farce, we lose the very essence of our true identity as eternal spiritual beings. Although many people saw periods such as the Renaissance as times of great human advancement, they actually served opposite purposes by paving the way for a decline in human values and by throwing away altogether the notion of God.

Many scriptures from a variety of world traditions as well as modern day psychics have all foretold this time period to be full of turmoil and chaos, leading to cleansing and polarization. However, we not only draw attention to the possibilities of destruction in the future, but we also remind the reader that such calamities are only an increasing continuation of the disasters that have already plagued the planet in the recent past in which millions of people have lost their lives or suffered immensely due to genocide, disease, war, slavery, and so on.

One of the most dangerous phenomena on the planet at this time is a systematic effort to repress healthy culture in a deliberate attempt to destroy spirituality of any kind. The engineers of this attempt are using every tool at their disposal to create cultural erosion on both obvious and subtle levels. Their goal is to bring about a state of confusion by introducing lifestyles and habits opposed to the elevation of individual and collective consciousness. Despite the fact that destructive forces, which we describe in great detail throughout the initial chapters of this book, have been able to create mass confusion, they are not entirely to blame for our difficulties. Actually, our greatest enemy is not some outside devil, but our own weak constitutions. In other words, negative powers can exert control over us only to the degree that we open ourselves up to their influence.

Therefore, we offer solace to the spiritual warrior in the form of knowledge, guidance, and protection. First of all, spiritual warriors must understand the eternal soul, reincarnation, karma, the nature of this material world, and especially the Kingdom of God. Furthermore, I offer twelve qualities that a spiritual warrior needs in order to successfully counteract the degradation inherent in this Age of Quarrel and Hypocrisy—sense control and mastery of the mind; humility; fearlessness; truthfulness; compassion and pridelessness; material exhaustion and disinterest in material rewards; no idle time; patience and selflessness; firm faith; perseverance; curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and grow; and surrender to divine will. We must strengthen ourselves by imbibing these qualities as well as understanding the challenges faced by the spiritual warrior.

I conclude by offering guidelines for responsible action and discussing service to the world community. These final sections to the book attempt to offer solace for the heart in difficult times and provide enough guidance and spiritual weaponry to help the spiritualists and devotees of the Lord develop and maintain their spiritual strength.
